National History Day Success for CSCS Sophomore
Congratulations to CSCS sophomore, Megan S., in winning the Senior Individual Exhibit category of the Pikes Peak regional History Day contest on April 6th. Her project titled “Guido of Arezzo and the Creation of the Staff: A Turning Point in Musical Notation” placed first out of 40 entries, qualifying Megan for the ‘National History Day in Colorado’ state contest at UC Denver in May. On Saturday May 4th, Megan was a top 6 finalist in the senior exhibit category at the state contest, and her exhibit was also recognized as the Regional award winner(all categories) for the Colorado Springs region. Congrats Megan!
Matchwits

The Matchwits team won their first competition yesterday (October 16th) against Mesa Ridge. Our team was awesome and won big! Their next taping and competition isTuesday, October 30 against Salida. We continue to appreciate your prayers and support!
Debate Tournament a Success!

The debate class went to Widefield for a novice tournament on Saturday October 13th and did well. Blake M. (9) and Thomas R. (12) won 2 of their 3 debates earning excellent ribbons and Jessica A. and Bryce K. won 3 of their 3 debates earning 1st place at the tournament. Congratulations to these great debaters!
