Getting Acquainted in Music
The first weeks of school involve a lot of new things - even in Music class. Students have had opportunities to work on
demonstrating a steady beat, imitating a vocal melody, and more. The "more" includes getting acquainted with each other. Mrs. Moreton has them learning each others names and learning interesting facts about one other as they review those music concepts early in the year.
Class is full of songs, games, and active learning. It makes a person want to enroll in Music classes again!

Artists Excel!
Elementary students recently competed in the Young People's Art Exhibit, a Colorado Springs art show for children. We were allowed to enter one piece per grade level. Our representatives were: Noah, Riley, Alex, MacKenzie, Nicola, and Grant. Noah and Alex both won first place ribbons. Nicola won a ribbon for "Exemplary Use of Color." Each of the six children received an award for their art work.
Congratulations to these campus winners and to Mrs. Wilbur for the success of her Art students. Thank the Lord for gracing us with these wonderful talents!
New Art Display Boards - Thank You PTO
Our Elementary PTO purchased three new Art Display Boards which arrived in August. Thanks to a shipping error, we'll
soon have four boards for the price of three. Take a look at them now; you may never see them empty again!
