The Worship Arts emphasis of the Student Ministries Department exists to provide a creative platform for student leaders to learn to use their creativity and gifts to communicate and minister to the CSCS student body, the youth of Colorado Springs, and the world. As a result of students' involvement in Worship Arts, they will have received hands on real life experience in leading and working in creative teams, using the creative arts in ministry, and will be ready to step into ministry in college, their youth groups and churches, the mission field, and other avenues of ministry and creativity. The main foci of our Worshipi Arts emphasis include worship bands for chapels, Random Ministries, and missions teams; video production; event production; and worhsip drama.
Worship Bands
Our worship bands are led by student leaders under the guidance of our Worship Arts mentors and sponsors. This year we have two main worship bands, the Random Band and the HS Chapel Worship Band. Both bands are by audition and usually practice once a week.
The Random Band is led by senior Nick M. and led worship for prayse rallies, prayer vigils, leadership retreats, and other Random Ministries events. The HS Chapel Worship Band leads worship in HS chapels and other official school functions like the National Day of Prayer, and See You At The Pole. This year's Chapel Band is led by senior Daniel B., and includes senior Nick M., sophomores Tory W., Matt B., and Soren I. Video
Our Video Team includes a group of student interns who creates commercials, video announcements, and video production for chapels, prayse rallies, the National Day of Prayer, and the annual Film Festival. This year's video team is led by senior Ben D., and includes senior Jonathan R., and juniors Jamie T., and David S. The Video Team partners with Cold Water Media which offers an internship to one of our senior video team members each year.

Worship & Evangelism Drama
Our new Worship & Evangelism Drama Team includes dramas for ministry and drama for evangelism.
Drama Ministry includes producing short skits that can be performed at prayse rallies, Chapels, or
during missions trips for the purpose of enhancing the message or as a form of worship.
Drama evangelism includes doing dramas in hardened areas of our community as a purpose to reach the lost with the gospel via theatre.

Mentors
Our Worship Arts Teams are mentored by alumni parent Mrs. Laurra Fitzgerald and other teachers and community members who provides guidance, instruction, and expertize to our student led worship bands, worship drama, production, and video teams. Fitzgerald is a Christian recording artist and with her husband Jim owns Cold Water Media, the producers of The Truth Project, TrueU, The Drive Thru History series, and several other documentaries.
